The famous reality television show has finally finished its fifth season. Contestants Amber and Greg have been declared the winners of the drama-filled season.
The couple thanked all their fans for voting for them in a video posted on social media.
Five couples faced off in the final
The Irish Rugby player and the beauty therapist had been fan favorites ever since they coupled up in the show. Furthermore, four couples made it into the live finals.
In fourth place were ballroom dancer Curtis Prichard and ring girl Maura Higgins.
Basketball player Ovie Soko and model India came in third place.
Whereas, strong couple Tommy Fury, a professional boxer, and Molly-Mae, an Instagram influencer, got second place.
The Live Final
The live final started with the girls going dress shopping for the Summer ball. All couples also wrote emotional vows for their significant other.
They also received dance lessons and performed a dance number with their partners.
Furthermore, the host of the show Caroline Flack showed the four couple’s journey on the reality show as well.
Amber and Greg
Amber’s journey on the show had a lot of ups and downs. The 20-year-old was the only original Islander who made it to the final. She was heartbroken after the boy she was coupled with, Michael’s head got turned by Joanna during Casa Amor.
However, her luck came back as soon as Greg walked into the villa a week before the final. Even though Michael told Amber that he still liked her later, Amber chose to couple up with the rugby player and hence, Michael was dumped from the villa.
Congratulations to the Love Island 2019 winners, Amber and Greg!
